Events throughout the year

Ingatestone Infant School is certainly a busy place. There is always something going on which brings the whole school together. Our events may be school trips, celebrations, annual traditions or inspired by global events or charities that we are supporting for that year.

One thing is certain, we always have lots and lots of fun!

Red Nose Day

We had lots of fun raising money for Red Nose Day!  Everyone wore their pyjamas to school and we managed to raise £237.50!

World Book Day

Everyone had a fabulous day dressed up as their favourite book character and enthusiastically engaged with the activities planned to help celebrate books and reading. The League of Friends also helped to organise a ‘Book Swap’ and the children really enjoyed choosing their ‘new books’ to take home.

Good friends, good books!

Sports Day

What a fabulous sports day we had in school!. Welcoming parents, carers and family members back to school for this event was very special indeed and we thought the children were fantastic. Thank you to everyone who came along to cheer the children on.

Multicultural Week

It has been an exciting week in school and we have certainly enjoyed ‘Multi Cultural Week’. During the week it has been fabulous seeing the children working with different staff and visiting different countries to find out about a variety of places within the Commonwealth. We have also enjoyed seeing the children challenging each other in their mini games and we know the food tasting was very tasty. We would like to thank all the staff, parent volunteers and League of Friends for making it a special week for the children.

Author Visit

The children enjoyed a visit from a local author - Tersha Cutmore and had the opportunity to enjoy the story 'Luca the Lion'.

Country Dancing

What a fantastic morning we had country dancing!  Each class learnt their own dance and the whole school participated in the circassian circle!  The adults also joined in too!

Year 1 and Year 2 School Trip to Weald Country Park

It was wonderful for the children in Years 1 and 2 to experience the 'Stickman’ outing to Weald Park, which they absolutely loved. The excitement of the children going on their first outing was marvelous.  The children were fantastic role models!
