Spelling, Punctuation & Grammar
Spellings: The children practise spellings every week in school and at home.
Grammar: During the year we work on various aspects of grammar including:
* Past and present tense
* Sentence functions (statement, question, or command)
* Terminology (noun, adjective, verb and adverb, compound words and suffixes)
Punctuation: Throughout Year 2, we work on various aspects of punctuation including:
* Exclamation marks, question marks and commas
* Apostrophes to indicate where letters are missing and to show possession

Mathematics
