Getting to know each other

Whilst we may not be able to meet you and your child face to face at the moment, we do have a variety of resources to help us get to know you before the start of school. All of the documents have been included in your pack but feel free to download and start completing them, we welcome them returned to school as soon as possible. We are hopeful that we will be able to offer a playdate later on in the term but this will depend on guidance from the local authority and Government. We will keep you informed with any changes that may change current circumstances.

Thank you.

DB Primary

DB logo

At Ingatestone Infant School all the children have access to DB Primary. This is a virtual learning environment with pupil friendly features, a platform which enables the children to access a variety of resources that reinforce the learning at school. An opportunity to develop computing skills relating to the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.

The children have a learning environment which is individual to their year group. Class teachers will add games, blog entries, stories and send emails.

During these unusual times we may not have been able to teach our children face to face at times but have been able to plan for them through our virtual learning platform 'DB Primary'. As you can see the children have been sharing some wonderful photos of the activities that they have been completing and their wonderful achievements during this time.

Whilst we would normally introduce DB Primary to the Dolphins in the Summer Term before they join Year 1, we do feel that this will be an ideal platform to get to meet your child now. The children have the opportunity to email us (please be aware that we do not respond to parent emails on this platform), contribute to a class blog, participate in some fun activities, share photos and watch stories read by Mrs Philp, Miss Anderton and some existing Dolphins.

Our DB Primary launch letter is included in your information pack and the home school agreement can be found in the Journeying Together Pack, alternatively please click on the picture to access these documents.  These booklets will need to be returned to school by 11th June 2021, either by email or posted in the box in the school foyer between the hours of 10am - 2pm, we will then provide log in details for your child to access the DB Primary account via email.
